Stories I Tell...

Storytelling is something rather fundamental to the way I desire to live life. Tradition, culture, heritage, all of these things are usually passed on from one generation to the next. Many of the more powerfull and ancient traditions have come to us in the form of stories. Whether the teller of the tale is the wise old man on the porch of the bait store in Louisiana, or its NBC showing the claymation version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, countless stories have influenced who and what each one of us has become.

For me, talking is still one of the best means of sharing our experiences. The power of the imagination can still out do Industrial Lights and Magic, and to see my stories make people laugh, or spook them, or just plain make them understand something that they didn't before is one of the biggest satisfactions I can derive from this life. But because I get more satisfaction from interacting with people in person, the following is a list of stories that I'd be happy to tell you sometime, in person, over a cup of tea in a cafe of your choice:

The Charming Hostess Contest

Half Dome

The Only Annual Knighting Ceremony

Campus Maintenance Tunnels and You

Lake Havasue @ 115 Degrees

The Five True Rings

Columbia River Gorge
